Those of you that pay close attention to me can figure out pretty easily who my celebrity crushes are: Emily Haines, Jenny Lewis, Annie Clark, Zooey Deschanel, and Natalie Portman. Well, add another name on there - Joanna Newsom. Sure, I've admired her for awhile, but it wasn't until I saw her in January at BAM or met her at Hiro Ballroom earlier this month that I really got a grasp on how unique and cute she is. She's also exceptionally kind and gracious. So with this, I must admit that I'm jealous of Andy Samberg. Anyway, I've got a few live tracks from Joanna for you today - first off "Esme," a new song that I heard at BAM. The song pretty much blew me away live, and I look forward to hearing a studio version on her next album. The second track is a cover of "Man's Road," a song off of "The Last Unicorn," originally performed by America. Enjoy!
