And boy, it's a bitch. Last year's list was nothing - I had no clue what I was talking about, which made it easy (though I still stand by all my picks). This year I'm in it to win it. Going over a few of the massive amounts of albums and tracks in the running, I was reminded of a few of the reasons I love music.
[mp3] St. Vincent - "Your Lips Are Red" (Marry Me) | iTunes
[mp3] Aqualung - "Cinderella" (Memory Man) | iTunes
[mp3] Bright Eyes - "Four Winds" (Cassadaga) | iTunes
[mp3] Menomena - "Air Aid" (Friend and Foe) | iTunes
[mp3] The National - "Mistaken For Strangers" (Boxer) | iTunes
Look for most, if not all of these on the Top 50 Tracks of 2007, to be published sometime closer to the New Year. Much more listening to be done before then.
